Does Eterna Edits publish or sell client footage?

No. Eterna Edits does not publish client footage or finished films as portfolio material without permission, and never sells client footage or personal information.

Wedding and event footage contains private moments and people who did not choose to appear in a working file on someone else’s system. Eterna Edits treats all client material as confidential:

  • Footage is used only to perform the work you requested.
  • Access is limited to the editors and service providers who need it.
  • Files are transferred and stored using reasonable security measures.
  • If Eterna Edits ever wants to feature a film publicly, it asks first and you may decline.

NDAs. Eterna Edits will sign a non-disclosure agreement on request. Ask before you send files. Where an NDA exists, it governs alongside this policy.

Personal data inside footage. When you send footage, you decide why that personal information was collected and Eterna Edits processes it on your behalf. You are responsible for holding the rights and consents needed to give that material to an outside editor.

What information does Eterna Edits collect?

Eterna Edits collects the contact and project details you provide, the files you send for editing, and standard technical data when you visit the website.

  • From you: name, business name, email, phone, location, project details and requirements, deadlines, and billing information.
  • Project files: video footage, audio, photographs, graphics, logos, project files, music and references. These routinely contain personal information such as faces, voices and names, and Eterna Edits treats everything inside a project file as personal information.
  • Automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, approximate location from IP, referring site, and date and time of visit.

How does Eterna Edits use your information?

Eterna Edits uses your information to deliver the editing you requested, communicate about your project, handle payment, and run and secure its business.

That includes responding to enquiries, preparing quotations, delivering projects, managing invoices and accounting records, providing support, improving its services and website, preventing fraud and misuse, and meeting legal obligations.

If you give Eterna Edits your contact details, it may also contact you about relevant services. You can opt out any time by replying to any message or emailing video@eternaedits.com.

Who does Eterna Edits share information with?

Eterna Edits shares information only with the service providers needed to run the business and deliver projects. Eterna Edits does not sell or rent personal information.

These include cloud storage and file-transfer providers, payment processors, website hosting, email and communication platforms, project management software, accounting providers, analytics and security providers, professional advisors, and government or law enforcement authorities where legally required.

How is your data protected and where is it processed?

Eterna Edits protects data with encrypted file transfer and access limited to the people working on your project. Files may be processed in the United States and in India.

Sales run from Kalispell, Montana, and editing is performed at the Eterna Edits studio in Ahmedabad, India, so your data may be processed outside your own country. Where the law requires it, Eterna Edits applies appropriate safeguards to international transfers. If your own client contracts restrict where footage may be processed, say so before sending files.

No method of storing or sending data over the internet is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Please avoid sending passwords in plain text and use expiring links where your platform supports them.

How long does Eterna Edits keep your files?

Eterna Edits generally keeps project footage, working files and final outputs for up to 6 months after a project is completed. After that, files may be permanently deleted.

What How long
Footage, working files and final outputs Up to 6 months after completion, then deleted from storage and cloud storage
Contact and project records As long as needed to provide services, resolve disputes and enforce agreements
Billing and accounting records As required by tax and accounting law

Download your files in time. Clients are responsible for downloading and backing up their final outputs within the 6-month window. If the cloud link expires or files are deleted, Eterna Edits is not responsible for recovering or re-delivering them.

Revisions after 6 months depend on whether the original files still exist. If they have been deleted, the revision may not be possible. Tell Eterna Edits before the 6 months are up if you expect a late re-cut.

What privacy rights do you have?

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask Eterna Edits to access, correct, delete or restrict your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent.

To make a request, email video@eternaedits.com with the subject line “Privacy request”. Eterna Edits may need to verify your identity, and some rights have legal or contractual limits.

US state privacy rights. If you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and Utah, you may also have the right to know what personal information is collected and why, to obtain a copy, to request correction or deletion, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising, and not to be treated differently for exercising these rights.

Eterna Edits does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Verifiable requests are answered within the period the law requires, generally 45 days.

If your information appears inside footage a client sent, Eterna Edits will usually refer your request to that client, because the client decides why the footage was collected.

Does the website use cookies?

Yes. The Eterna Edits website uses essential cookies that keep the site working, and Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use eternaedits.com.

You can control or disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may stop working properly.

If you leave a blog comment, the comment form data, your IP address and browser user agent are collected to help detect spam, and you may opt in to saving your details in a cookie for about a year. Children’s privacy

Eterna Edits’ services are not directed toward children, and Eterna Edits does not knowingly collect personal information from children where the law prohibits it.

Wedding footage often contains children. That footage is handled as client material, on the client’s behalf, as described above. If you believe a child has given Eterna Edits personal information without authorization, contact Eterna Edits so it can act.

Terms of service

These terms apply to projects you send to Eterna Edits and to your use of eternaedits.com. Where a signed agreement or NDA exists, that document takes precedence.

Payment

Eterna Edits generally works on 100% advance payment, with the total fee agreed before the project starts. New clients may be offered a 50% advance and 50% balance at Eterna Edits’ discretion. In that case the review copy is delivered watermarked, and the watermark-free final output and project files are released once full payment is received. Work outside the agreed scope may incur additional charges, always agreed in advance. Plans are on the pricing page; every project is quoted before it begins.

Delivery and revisions

Quoted turnaround times run from the point Eterna Edits has all the footage and information it needs, and shift if material or feedback arrives late. Each project includes the revision rounds stated in your quotation. A revision is a change within the agreed direction; a change of concept, structure, song or style after approval is new work and is quoted separately.

Ownership and licensing

You keep ownership of everything you send. Once payment is complete, the finished edit and the project files created for you are yours, subject to any third-party licences on stock media, music, fonts and presets. Eterna Edits keeps its own tools, templates and presets. Where you supply music or stock media, you are responsible for holding the correct licence for your intended use.

Your responsibilities

By sending files you confirm you own them or hold the rights, permissions and consents needed for Eterna Edits to work on them, including from the people in the footage, and that the material is lawful. Supplying footage or feedback late moves the delivery date.

Cancellation and refunds

Cancel before work begins and any advance is refundable less costs already incurred. Once editing has started, advance payments cover work performed and are generally non-refundable, though Eterna Edits will discuss a fair settlement based on the stage reached.

Liability and governing law

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eterna Edits is not liable for indirect or consequential damages or lost profits, and its total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the project concerned. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and this does not reduce the confidentiality commitments above. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, United States.
